How to Read

“How to read” by Nick Hornby is a telling you that you need to read what you like not what you think you need to read to be smarter and to look better. This is a true statement we but too much importance on reading books that we do not want to read but that is not the point of reading we should read because it is fun for us and because the book that we are reading is drawing us in so that we do not want to put it down. It is saying that we should be reading for the entertainment and joy and that we do not always have to be reading to become smarter because we can still learn things from the books we read for fun. This is much like my reading style but recently I have been reading books that I have not enjoyed reading but like the topic. Some books I wave enjoyed to read and did not want it to end were Shoeless Joe, almost all the Gary Paulsen books. What made these books fun to read was that they were about something that is interesting to me. It would make me think about things that I liked to do. For Shoeless Joe I enjoyed the journey they take through the book. I have had to read some books I did not like the one that strikes out is Incidents in the life of a slave girl, this book to me was to boring g there was no actions that got me in to the book and a lot of times there was nothing going on in the book.
