the end
In act five scene 5, Macbeth does, what I like to call a dark Vader move, and moves back to good. This is seen at the beginning of act 5 when Macbeth says, “I have almost forgot the taste of fears: the time has been my senses would have cooled to hear a night-shriek, and my fell of hair would at a dismal treatise rouse and stir”(224). What this quote is showing is that Macbeth for the first time since before he killed Duncan has fear. This is also the first time that Macbeth’s fears have not led him to kill someone. This makes him good because for the fist time since act one he is almost human, he is thinking rationally for the most part and is now afraid that something might happen. I do think that is interesting that this comes at the cry death from lady Macbeth. In some ways it is as if lade Macbeth, who was the one that made Macbeth do the first killing, was the part of Macbeth that was making him do the other killings and thing.

night is long
“The night is long and never finds the day” Malcolm page 198 this come at the end of act four after Macduff has found out that Macbeth a killed his family and his workers. This also comes after Macbeth has meet with the witches for a second time. For Macbeth the night will never find the day for Macduff the night is long and it will be longer but day will come when he kills Macbeth in the last act. This is true for Malcolm too. After the death of his father the king Malcolm had to flee from Scotland. Since Duncan’s death Malcolm has had to hide and not live in the day but the day is coming and will return in time. This idea of night never finding the day is true for every one in this book because things happen that bring night and the only way out is death or the death of Macbeth.

time
In act 4 scene 1 we find out that Macduff has fled to England. This makes Macbeth mad so he decides to go and kill macduff’s family that he left behind. At the end of the scene Macbeth says a line that foreshadows the rest of the book. Macbeth says “time thou anticipat’st my dread exploits: the flighty purpose never is o’ertook unless the deed go with it”(170). This is saying that time is the one that will stop him for being able to do things. This is true Macbeth has been doing all these things so that he can be king and stay king but time is running out for him and he must do these things before his time runs out. What Macbeth dose not know is that what the witches have shown him will come true and that his time is going to come to a end and fate has been set and he can not do any thing about what is going to happen.
blood will have blood
In act three scene four Macbeth sees Bonquo’s ghost. Macbeth goes crazy here it is in front of people. Lady Macbeth gets the people to go. After they go Macbeth talk about ghosts. Macbeth says “It will have blood they say blood will have blood:”(142) it then goes on to say thing about ghost. But that first part of the line is the part that I would like to focus on. I think that this relates the Macbeth in that he has killed Duncan and then he killed the guards and now he has killed Bonquo. It will have blood was the killing of Duncan and the blood will have blood this that he needs to kill the guards to keep them from saying any thing and then he kills Bonquo to stop his kids from becoming kings. Macbeth is now in a cycle that he has to keep killing people to get them off of thinking that it was him or from getting in the way of what he wants to do.

night's black agents
In the first part of act three there is a good reference to night that Macbeth says right before they kill Banquo. The line comes at the end of scene two Macbeth says “Light thickens and the crow makes wing to th’ rooky wood: good things of day begin to droop and drowse whiles night’s black agents to their preys do rouse”(126). This is saying the crows are heeding to the forest and the sun is going down and that the night is going to bring things. This come on the eve of killing Banquo so it must be noted that Macbeth can be seen as the night and the murderers are his black agents that are doing his work this also can be seen as a warning of what is about to happen the Macbeth at diner that night when he sees Banguo’s ghost in this case it is Banquo that is night’s black agents that is rousing it pray which in this case is Macbeth.

sleep no more
In act two there are many references to sleep. The one that stands to me the most important is in scene two after Macbeth has killed Duncan. Macbeth said “Methought I heard a voice cry, ‘Sleep no more! Macbeth does murder sleep!’ the innocent sleep, Sleep that knits up the ravelled sleave of care, The death of each day’s life, sore labour’s bath, Balm of hurt minds, great nature’s second course chief nourisher in life’s feast”(80). This quote is vary important because it talks about what sleep does to help us and what it will do if we do not have it. It the quote it says that sleep will undo the knots of our worries. This is important because as the play goes on Macbeth is going to go crazy and worry about things and will kill Banquo because of it. It also says that sleep is a soothing rest from work, Macbeth will no longer be able to relax because he will be haunted by what he has done. It also says that sleep is healing for the sick minds, this means that with out sleep Macbeth will not be able to be in his right mind. Macbeth has killed sleep so he will no longer get what sleep brings to us. This is the beginning to Macbeth going insane.

regret
In act one scene seven Lady Macbeth has some lines that say a lot about how much she wants to become queen. If it were not for Lady Macbeth being the “spur” to make Macbeth kill Duncan Macbeth might not kill Duncan. To get Macbeth to kill Duncan Lady Macbeth say that she would rip her own baby from her and smash it’s head in if she sad she would do it to Macbeth. This is to make Macbeth look week and submit to her and kill Duncan and make her queen. In the last line of Act 1 Macbeth shows regret for what he is going to do it is from this point on that the play becomes a lot about the regret and eventual death of Macbeth because of this act that he is about to commit.
fair is foul
In the first three Act of Macbeth there is a lot of talk about of things that have happened to the Thane of Cawdor and how Macbeth has gain from this and how this will not happen again. There is a lot of foreshadowing in to the rest of the play and of what is to come it also shows how the king is not good a seeing in to people and how they will act. For Macbeth the idea of being king is the best thing that could have happened but it is also the worse. It is the best and worse thing that Macbeth could do, that is why fair is foul and foul is fair. There is also a scene that Macbeth is wanting this to happen but at the same time does not want to have to do it because he will be betraying the king that has given him so much and he does not want to do that.

the movie and the book
I think that the movie give a better view of Rob. The movie lets you see what he is thinking but it also lets you see out side of him and that gives you a better view of him. Rob is not as pathetic in the movie as he is in the book and that is because we see in and out of him. The book was just Rob looking out and that does not give you the same sense that you get from the movie. This also changes the way Dick and Barry seem. In the book they are pathetic and losers but in the movie they look like they are just a little odd. This also makes Laura more personable and understanding why she left Rob. This makes the quality of the movie and book better. The movie refinances and makes all the people seem like they could be real and that this is true.

Rob moves on in the end
Rob at the end of thee book makes peace with him self and his life. He sees were he is and what he wants to do. He finds peace with Laura and finds that he is happy with her. Rob also finds that he needs to do something in his life to be happier. Rob finds that there are some positives in his life and that he has to stay positive. I thank that this time rob will change and that he will be better off then before and that he will finally settle down. There is something that are left to be done but Rob is changing at the end of the book. Most of Rob’s changes are due to Laura helping him move on from the past. The end of the book is good I like it. It answers questions but it leaves some to be answered. It ends on a positive and you see Rob happy at the end of the book for the first time. Most of Rob’s life firms up and you see for the first time some definitive in his life.

Rob feels death
Rob has not had to experience death so Laura’s father’s death is a new experience for him and he is scared. He does not know how to handle death but then who among us does. As for the fear of dieing playing a role on his infidelity it might play a small role on it but for the most part it is an excuse that he has made up and convinced himself of. It can affect him in the fact that he has felt that if it wont work out then to move on because he could die. This is just an underlying factor it is really just Rob making him self believe that it is what is holding him back and at that time that he is thinking it, it is. But for the most part of Rob’s life he can blame other things for his failures in his relationships. Rob does not react to Laura’s father’s death because Rob has never had some one close to him die so he does not know what to fell or how to respond to what he is feeling. He is lost in himself and can’t find a way to see what he is felling with leads to him blaming death for his failures in his relationships

wanting what he cant have
Rob wants what he can’t have in this case it is Laura. When Rob was with Laura he did not want her so he had an afire. At the end of the afire he finds that he wants Laura again. From this point one their relationship is in a dowered spiral 50 feet from the ground. This is not apparent to Rob. When it does hit the ground Rob is crushed. After a week Rob has a one-night stand with Marie. Rob shoots him self in the foot with Marie, he dose not want to be with her at first it is only a week later that they have their moment. Rob is doing this because he is hurt from all his brake up and this one is just one to add on. Rob has never gotten over his first break up so he has built himself a mountain that he will have to climb in order to move on in his life.

How to Read
“How to read” by Nick Hornby is a telling you that you need to read what you like not what you think you need to read to be smarter and to look better. This is a true statement we but too much importance on reading books that we do not want to read but that is not the point of reading we should read because it is fun for us and because the book that we are reading is drawing us in so that we do not want to put it down. It is saying that we should be reading for the entertainment and joy and that we do not always have to be reading to become smarter because we can still learn things from the books we read for fun. This is much like my reading style but recently I have been reading books that I have not enjoyed reading but like the topic. Some books I wave enjoyed to read and did not want it to end were Shoeless Joe, almost all the Gary Paulsen books. What made these books fun to read was that they were about something that is interesting to me. It would make me think about things that I liked to do. For Shoeless Joe I enjoyed the journey they take through the book. I have had to read some books I did not like the one that strikes out is Incidents in the life of a slave girl, this book to me was to boring g there was no actions that got me in to the book and a lot of times there was nothing going on in the book.

reading and me
To understand my relation to reading you have to go back to the first grade. I had trouble learning to read it was hard for me. It was not till 8 grade that I started to enjoy reading. I use to hate to read but the more I read the better I got. When I did start to get in to reading I loved it. At first I loved to read things like Gary Paulsen who I still like to read. I loved the outdoorsman theme of his books. When I started to have to read books for school it was hard for me to read for fun and still is. I try to look at the books I have to read for school as fun. Last year I loved all the books we read especially the Great Gatsby and Johnny got his gun which are now my two favorite books. Though last year It was hard for me to keep up with the nightly reading and all my other books because I would read so slow but to combat that I found that if I lessoned to the books and followed along with it I would get it done faster but I also understood the books better. I have trouble just to start reading some times because I have a heard time just to sit still and focus on the book. I like to read things that have an interesting plot but do not over do it. I read a lot of popular science magazine and the comic in the paper every day. I also read the news of the BBC website. I would like to push my self to read more.

Joe wants out
Joe wants to be let out; to have the air from the out side hit him for the first time in five plus years. Joe has an idea on how he will be able to support him self with out help from the government. If Joe were to join a freak show he could get money to support him self, he would also let people see what war does to you. Joe’s want is against regulation because they do not want him to go out. They do not want people to see what has happened to Joe. For Joe the reason they did not want to let him out is because the army did not want people to see want happens to people in war because then no one would go to war. To Joe the army just wants him to go back to being disconnected because the army does not want him to live.

Joes dream with Christ
Joe has a dream that he is at a train station in a room with Christ. Joe is with a group of men playing black jack. They are finishing up there game to go get on the train and they are talking about how they will die. One of the people with Joe points out that Joe does not die. Joe explains that he will have to live his whole life with out arms, legs, a face, sight, or sound. All the men think that what Joe has to go through is worse then having to die. The men get on the train and it starts to go. When they get to the desert Joe sees Christ out floating in the air. Joe thinks that he does not belong on the train because he is not living nor dead so he jumps off the train and run to Christ and bows at his feet.

the tapping
Joe starts to tap to try to communicate to the outside world. He is using morose code to communicate. The idea of being able to talk with the out side world gives Joe hope that he has not had since before he was hurt. The ability to talk with the out side world makes Joe human again and brings him one step closer to the living. The taping also is a chance for him to get out of his head and find thing out that he has only be able to wonder about. There is also some anger that he gets from the taping because the nurse does not seem to get the reason he is tapping in the first place. Joe is so happy that he has a way to communicate he get angry that the people on the out side do not seem to get what he is doing.

finding time
For Joe time is a way to keep connected to the world. With time Joe is able to know how much time has passed. It is also a way for Joe to mark thing like new years and the days of the week, which helps Joe from going crazy. To master time Joe has to set up a base time to go off of. First he tries to count the time between the visits by the nurse, but he can’t do it. It is not till he thinks of how the nurse does there work, with the hard work in the morning, does Joe find a way to get a grip on time. Joe also finds that if he can feel the change in temperature of the sunrise and compare it to the times that the nurse comes he will have a base for time.

willing to die for
To Joe nothing is worth fighting for because if he dies it is no good to him. Joe thinks that you should not have to die for freedom because once you die you have no freedom. Joe also does not think that dieing for democracy because his life is more important to him then democracy. Joe thinks that if you die then it was not worth fighting for because he is so close to death and he was fighting for freedom and now he has no freedom. Life to Joe now means such a different thing now that he almost does not have one. When something so important is taken away from you see how much you needed it and for Joe it was a normal life and now all he wants is to have that back or to just die. It takes a lot to want be willing to die for something but for Joe, who had no choice on if he was willing to die because some one else already said Joe was willing to die.

the rat
The rat comes to visit Joe to eat the side of him where he has a wound that will not heal. The rat comes from a memory of seeing a Prussian officer getting his face eaten by a rat. When Joe start to get pain in his side he think it is a rat. The rat represents the pain and the idea that he can do nothing but feel the pain. The rat also represents the want to die; Joe can do nothing but let a rat eat away at him. This makes it so all Joe wants is to be put out of this pain. Joe is the one in a million that will have to live with is for the rest of his life an he will always have this rat eating away at him because the rat is the pain of going through the day where you are dieing inside but not outside.
no limes
Joe has had all of his limes amputated. He compares is to drowning because he can no longer keep himself afloat with out his limes. He is drowning because he cannot have a normal life now. There is also this feeling of giving up hope to be normal again. Joe has found a place in life with no good way to come out of it to live a normal life. With out his arms and legs Joe will not be able to live a life. It is a hard realization to come to and that is what is started in the beginning of the book.

trapped in a bell jar
Esther felt trapped under a bell jar because she is stuck in a part of her life and she can look out and is overwhelmed and every one else is looking in and telling her where to go. Esther is lost in her like and every one is telling her to go in a different direction. It is like what she says on page 185 at the beginning of chapter 15. Esther says “If Mrs. Guinea had given me a ticket to Europe, or a round the world cruise, it wouldn’t have made one scrap of difference to me because wherever I sat – on the deck of a ship or at a street café in Paris or Bangkok – I would be sitting under the same glass bell jar, stewing in my own sour air.” This shows how she is stuck in this place and she cant seem to get out of it and even though people might be trying to help her she is on her own in this spot alone.
the new asylum
The new asylum that Esther goes to is like country clubs for people to live at that need help mentally. The new asylum has a golf course and lots of land to go out and walk it also offers a chance for people to go out to town, see movies and go shopping. This is vary different from the state hospital that Esther was at. At the last asylum she was up in a big wing with other mentally ill people. The last asylum is also in a hospital in the city that does not allow for people to go out. If Esther was forced to stay at this asylum she might have vary well-gone crazy. Esther was not given a chance to get better at the city hospital because she was lock up and not given the chance to get out and to feel better. At the new asylum Esther is getting treated and getting the chance to get better at the same time.

killing her self
Esther is lost in a world and is finding there is now way out but death. She is not going crazy but more on the side of lost hope. She went from having goals like having sex to looking for a point to life. The problem is that she stresses out so much about her future she just break down. When she thinks she is never going to find a point for life is when the idea of killing her self comes up. She has worked hard her whole life to get where she is and she feels she has gotten no were. It is at this point that she tries to kill her self. Just by luck her multiple steps fail that is in till she overdoses of her medicine. Her last attempt was the mast successful of all her attempts and it is just by luck that she lives throw that one.
Dr. Gordon (lies)
Esther does not like Dr. Gordon. Esther thinks that Dr. Gordon thinks that she is crazy and is going to lock her up. Esther get paranoid about this thought and hides things from Dr. Gordon. Esther hides the problem in how she has not been able to write and some other things. When she does tell Dr. Gordon things he makes her go in for shock therapy. In shock therapy all they do is electrocute you till you almost die to make your mind work the right way. It is bad that she did not tell Dr. Gordon about her problems earlier. But in a way by not telling Dr. Gordon about the problems Esther saved her self from pointless pane of the shock therapy.

Ester loves Constantin and says that his is the first time she has been truly happy since she was nine. Esther is somewhat let down by Constantin and is sad that see did not get more out of Canstantin. This is odd because she does not like Buddy because he had an affair but that is what see want her with a man we can assume is the pure that she wanted from Buddy.

Esther's feelings for buddy
Esther’s first impression of Buddy if different then her feeling she has for him now. At first Esther thinks that Buddy is the best guy in the world. She thinks he is young, smart and pure. She is in love with him in till she finds the truth out about him. She was hoping that he would love her and settle down together. This is not what happens though. After Esther ask Buddy if he has had a affair before and his answer revels a side Esther does not like. Esther finds out Buddy has had an affair and had sex a lot. This is not what Esther wants she wants some one who is pure. It is at this time that Buddy gets TB so Esther does not get to tell Buddy how she feels now. The way she feels now about Buddy is that he is a hypocrite and is not a good person to be with.

not liking new york
Esther’s feeling about her time in New York are not of what you would think a person in her place would feel. She thinks the city is interesting but hates the whole thing at the same time. What she is felling is the effect the city can have on some people, especially a woman who up till now has never left New England. The vast difference from that to the city is taking it toll on her. She also hates her time in New York because she is treated in a way that people do not want, she has plans on where to be and when and almost what to think already made for her. She is also different from the other women with her she is not a materialistic and thinks more deeply then the others.

pleasantville
Pleasantville, in the movie, is a quiet town where every thing is simple and innocent. In the movie the people know what they need to know and that’s it. No one knows the out side world because there is none for them. This is seen with the books that are empty. They are empty because Pleasantville is it own world in its self. Pleasantville is also innocent in that the town’s people have never done anything wrong. The worst that the people have done is holding hands they have never herd of sex ether. Also the people are innocent in that no one breaks the law or does any thing bad or hurtful. Pleasantville is unappealing in that every one is perfect. In the way that it make it appealing are the same things making it unappealing

Values in I love Luce
In the TV show I Love Luce they talk about many values. Although it is a comedy it has a big relation to real like. In all of the episodes one of the characters gets in to trouble. It is at the end of the episode that the values are address. It was also the first show to have a women lead the show this in its self help teach women’s rights and ability to be equal to men which is a rising issue of the day. The show also showed the idea that life was not always a perfect family but that some times people got in to situations and got in trouble. The show also showed the value of forgiveness because in the end of most episodes Ricky forgives Luce.

the Internment camps
The internment camps in California during World War II are part of the ugly side of US history. This comes at a time when fear and blame out ruled logic and sensibility. When his happens the consequences can be startling. This is why US history has left this out with little to no mention. We would like to forget are mistake and look at that of what Germany did. But what we did was just a few steps lower then that of what Germany did. What was done to Asians and Asian-Americans was not ethical or smart though it might have gotten some Japanese supporters, it tore a hole in the people and the ideas of the United states. We took incident people and imprisoned them on thought and belief. We defied are own constitution and did what are funding fathers tried to prevent. This is also similar to what the United States did to Muslim-Americans after September 11. Although not to the extent of internment we have some of the same fears and done some of the same actions as we did to the Asian-Americans.

Wright realization
Wright realization at the end of the novel is that “whites are as miserable as their black victims” and “If this country can’t find its way to a human path if it can’t inform conduct with a deep sense of life, then all of us, black as well as white, are going down the same drain…” What Wright is saying is that we are all unhappy and we make are self’s happy by going after the simple material things in life but we are still unhappy. As are unhappiness starts to overwhelm us we get angry and as are anger grows we lash out at are fellow men and in the end we end up worse them we were in the begging. I agree with what Wright is saying but I think that it is a cynical way to look at life because there are people that do try to make their like and the lives of the people around them better.

artistes and politicians at the opposite poles
Wright’s theory has some truth on how artistes and politicians stand at opposite poles. Artists, I feel, see the world in a abstract way and analyze thing in a way others can not see. The politicians are seen as people who say to want to change thing but it is more for personal gain. Though there are those people like FDR and Jon Edwards that do want to make the change and have and are doing it for the good and can see the world like an artiste. It is toughs people that make the biggest difference in the world. For the most part Wright is right in most of his thinking I find my self on the side of the politicians and cannot always see a meaning in art but for some forms of art I find it necessary in the way they say there message and the way they express them selves.

can one voice move a crowd to action
Yes and no. If I would go out and run for president I might be able to get five people to support me but when some one with more governmental influence and experience were to run they would amass thousands of people to support them. So if you have a strong voice and have the ability to back your self up then you can move a crowd to action. It can start with one get a close knit group of people and those people get more people them yes one voice can move a crowd but he has to be strong. This is like in Huck Finn when the man gives the speech on how it is not the way of the south and how they are not real men. He was strong enough to make the crowd stop and rethink what they were doing and had a strong argument that changed their minds. That is what you need to do to move a crowd.
the election
I find it vary interesting what Wright does during the election. Wright thinks that there is no difference between the two people running. Wright thinks that they are both liars and that they do not deserver to win so he will not vote for either. Instead Wright writes “I Protest This Fraud.” This is fitting for Wright to do because he has been through so much that he looks at thing with a different view. He sees it as they will do nothing for him so why should he vote them. He also knows that they are both trying to buy the votes of the Blacks, and he feels that if they see the blacks that way then why elected ether of them. I feel his response is justifiable but it does nothing to stop what they are doing he must do more and get others to help him.

Wright's thinking
In one of the paragraphs were Wright is taking to us as the author Wright talk about the “irony of the plight of the Negro in America.” In this Wright talks about how the Blacks are doomed to live in isolation and the whites want the basest of goals. He goes on to say that the blacks get angry that the whites condemn them for no reason but to suffer whale they go after trash. He is right in saying this and I agree with him. He is being vary vague in his reason for being disseminated against. He is right but there is more depth to the whites thought on why they discriminate against the blacks. Wright also talks about the whites going after trash this to is a good point that I agree with and think that it can go beyond the whites and to most black of the time and even today.

Wright's terror of the south
“This was the culture from which I sprang. This was the terror from which I fled.”
This comes, as Wright is about to be leaving for the north. He has been taking to Shorty about how Wright is lucky to leave the south. The terror, which Wright is talking about, is the fear the blacks have of the whites and what the whites will do if the blacks were to fight back. Wright is trying to go to the north were he will be a little more accepted by people but it is what Shorty says in the elevator the is why Wright wants to leave the south. Shorty says, “I’ll die here. Or maybe they’ll kill me.” It is that fear of being killed if you do something wrong you can be killed or you can be killed because the whites just do not like you like we see in the first optical shop Wright works at. Wright is going north to escape some of this terror of the south although he will never be free of this terror just yet.

subservience in Black Boy
Subservience in the way we see it in Black Boy is not a necessary part of life. No matter what you do though you will have a form of subservience but the way we see it in Black Boy is different. In black boy we see the whites making the Black inferior to them. This is not just subservience this segregation because even for the lower class whites are considered better then the blacks in the south. If we were to make the blacks even with the whites then yes there is some subservience needed in the form of a lower and middle class, which form the working class. There has to be some one at the bottom but should be an even playing filed between whites and blacks.

How to live in the south
Griggs tells Wright that he must learn how to live in the south. Griggs says this after Wright has had some problems with keeping a job with whites. Wright has problems with the way the whites treat him and the way blacks are to act in front of whites in the south. Griggs is telling Wright that he has to learn to just accept the way whites treat blacks if he does not want to be killed. Griggs is telling Wright something that Wright has known about but has not learned to accept. Wright does not want to be under the whites because that would be saying that he is inferior. This is a slim line to walk because of how dangerous it is for Wright because if he crosses the line he can be killed.

Wright's speech
In the end of chapter 8 we see Wright refuse to do a speech that was written for him by his principle. Wright how has written his own speech feel it would not be right to do the other speech although every one around him thinks he is foolish for doing this. His actions can be justifiable. Wright who is very much his own person does not like when people tell him what he needs to do. Wright will not accept the Jim Crow laws. He is a black wants the ability to express him self but he can’t and his is one way he can reject the thought of the time. Even though id jeopardizes his schooling he has to do this because that is the type of person he is. Personally I can understand Wright’s position and his thinking.

wright not wanting to get hit
Uncle Tom wants to beat Wright because Wright was being sassy with him. Wright thinks he did not do any thing to get a beating. Wright is right on this he was just saying that it might be a different time by a minute or two. This is not something to get hit for Wright was being logical and Uncle Tom took it the wrong way. Wright get angry at Uncle Tom because Wright did nothing wrong. Uncle Tom does not beat Wright because he sees that Wright is right about this mater. This is another example of the difference between Wright and his family. Wright family does not understand Wright he is different then they are he sees the world in a different then they do.
Wright's writing
Wright feels gratified after he shares his writing because he had completed something. Though out Wright’s life he has not been abele to complete things he states because of his moving and not having enough money to do so. This is the first time you see Wright thinking for himself with out the help of others. It is also monumental for Wright because he personally knew what he had done was special. It was also a new way for him the rebel granny’s rules. This is a point of change in Wright and his life he is now on a upward path in his education and his thinking.

Wright's response to his mother's paralysis
Wright’s response to his mother’s paralysis is different then what you typically expect from some one. Wright goes internally in to his mind and what’s to become independent from every one. To him it is as if he is again being let down by some one. He is now the one that has to provide for him self he cannot depend on some one else. Wright must stand on his one. Wright still loves his mother though but this hearts him past a point that he cannot be brought back to this idea that things will be better. Wright has now grown up because he has had to be strong and this is the point that makes him strong in the mental state.

Wright does not know better
Wright was told to heat Jews so he did hate Jews. Wright is doing the same to the Jews that the whites do to him. People do not except Wright because of his skin color is the same thing as hating some one for their religion. It is not as though Wright does this on purpose but he has been programmed to think that there is some one hated more then he is and he is told that it the Jews. It is this thinking that that leads to people discriminating against other people.

wright is hungry
Wright is hungry because he has no food. He has no food because his father left his mother, and she has no money to buy food. Wright’s father was the only one that was making money for the family so when he just doesn’t come home the money stops coming to the family. What his father does is a terrible thing, by just leaving a wife and two kids to fend for them selves is one of the worst things you could do. Wright’s mother is left to pervade as well as taking care of the kids.

Richard Wright response
I do not agree with what Richard Wright is saying. He feel as though there is no point to the book. But there is he is just to stuck-up to see the point he feels as though it represents blacks the wrong way ands makes it appealing to whites. But that is not the point of the book the point of it is to so the quest for love and freedom in a time that it is hard to get both and especially for a women.

janie silent over the death of Tea Cake
I fell as though Janie just has nothing to say about the death of Tea Cake. Janie who loved Tea Cake so much is stunned that she had to be the one to take Tea Cake out of his misery. Janie just has to think about thing because they have been happening so fast. She also has to watch what she says because the way the rich whites feel about this and what Janie feels is vary different. Janie’s love for Tea Cake is so strong that Janie is not afraid of the punishment. She feel she did what she had to do for herself and Tea Cake and that she should not have to justify her self for what she did. Janie also is mad at her self for making Tea Cake fight the dog to save her. She is feeling a lot of anger and grief over Tea Cake. In the end Janie is free and is in grief over Tea cake because she loved Tea Cake because he respected her. Janie
Him VS. them
I feel it means that they are looking at this storm as if g-d is doing his worst. If you read the sentence before it says ‘” their souls asking if He meant to measure their puny might against His.” I feel this is the more important then their eyes were waking g-d because throw the book we get the slight references to Jody when he keeps saying I g-d all the time. Trough the book g-d is compared to man but in the hurricane he is compared to this powerful storm that is putting him VS. them. If feel it shows the false hood through the book of man being g-d but here is were we see the true g-d. This comes at a time when Janie has found what she has wanted all her life love and a man which she tern in to her form of g-d but she has not found g-d.

working with tea cake
Janie is quick to work beside Tea Cake because of the way Tea Cake treats Janie. To Logan Janie is a tool, just another idem to use for work to get more money. It is that thinking that made Janie run of with Jody but he purviews to be no different. Jody who wants all the power wants to control Janie to make them selves be in a better class then the rest of the town. So Jody suppresses Janie’s own freedom. Where Logan and Jody fail is were Tea Cake succeeds. Tea Cake is sly in the way he convinces Janie to work he makes working appeal to Janie’s thought of love. Tea Cake gives Janie the freedom she wants but makes her feel guilty for not being with him. Unlike Logan and Jody, Tea Cake gives Janie somewhat of a choice to work but dose it in a way that he knows that she will work.

janie and tea cake is it love
Janie’s actions with Tea Cake reflect her idea about love in that it is equal for both people in the relationship. For Janie and Tea Cake they both are happy with each other which is the opposite of that of Nanny. For Nanny the idea of love was to summate to the person you must love to make you have more money not who makes you happy. Janie is to free and independent to be but through Nanny way of love because Janie is smarter then what she is made out to be. Janie is abele to connect with Tea Cake because he understands Janie’s spirit. Tea Cake allows Janie use her mind something the past two men she has been with have not let her use.

their eyes are waching god ch.7-9
In chapter 9 when Janie talks about how the angels grew jealous of man and chopped him up and covered him in mud. This relates to what Janie did in the store to Joe. Janie lashes out at Joe much like the angels did to man. Janie brakes Joe’s spirit and glory in away that ends up killing him. Joe also plays the roll of the angels to Janie. Joe suppresses and stops Janie from being her self and becoming a individual. The constant pain the Joe puts Janie throw is what makes Janie get mad at Joe in the store. Janie and Joe are both to blame for hurting one another and not heeling the pain till it was to late to do so although Janie dose make an attempt to do so.

the mule and Janie
In chapter six there is a lot of talk about a mule, Janie takes some special interest in the mule. Janie who sees somewhat of her self in the mule understands and sympathize with the mule. The mule just wants to be free and not have to work so it is trying to get what it wants, the mule is also trying asset if self in life just like Janie is. Thee mule represents Janie and the people and work the operation of women and black in this era but they are the treatment of Jody. Only Janie is able to understand this because she is facing all kinds of adversity.

not so super ads of the super bowl
The two ads of the Super Bowl that I that used the best marketing ploy was the under armor and the Gatorade commercials. Both used logic to get their message out. In the under armor commercial their message was that if you use under armor you are using what the pros this is using credibility. The thinking is that if the pros use it, it has to be good. The other ad I picked is the Gatorade commercial for their new drink G2. In their ad they have Derrick Jeter, Peyton Manning, and Bill Parcells. The ad uses logic and credibility by saying you’re always an athlete even when you are off the field and using big names to say it. Over all this years Super Bowl ads were just okay they used hummer to convey their message but they were not as good as last year.

their eyes were waching god ch. 3,4
They sat on the boarding house porch and saw the sun plunge into the same crack in the earth from which the night emerged.
This is last paragraph of ch. 4 which refers back to this theme of nature in the book. This also is symbolizing the end of one part of Janie’s life and the beginning of a new part. The night is her getting married to some one she wants to not made to. Janie in this instance is doing what she feels is right for her, something we have not seen so far out of Janie.

their eyes were waching god ch. 1,2
When Janie is returning home from her long the people judge her on the way she appears and the way she just keep walking. They judge her before she has a chance to justify and explain her self. Janie then starts to tell her story to Pheoby. Janie talk about being a kid growing up in a all white house being black and how Janie did not realize she was black and is humiliated by that. The two events are somewhat similar in that both Janie is being the one made fun of. Janie has also set herself up for this judgment made of her because of what she said or did. She should not be judged for both of these events but the sad truth is that she is.

The great migration of the Harlem Renaissance
The great migration of the Harlem Renaissance happed after World War I. Blacks of the south were moving to the north and west to get away from the white domination of the south to a somewhat more accepting north. They were also moving from farms in the south to the factories of the north. The great migration is the trigger for the Harlem
Renaissances. The moves made way for society to grow and experience a type of society that had been superset by the white society of the south.
Cool facts about the great migration of the Harlem Renaissance.
1.5 million Southern blacks moved to cities. During the 1910s and 1920s, Chicago's black population grew by 148 percent; Cleveland's by 307 percent; Detroit's by 611 percent. http://www.digitalhistory.uh.edu/database/article_display.cfm?HHID=443
