pleasantville
Pleasantville, in the movie, is a quiet town where every thing is simple and innocent. In the movie the people know what they need to know and that’s it. No one knows the out side world because there is none for them. This is seen with the books that are empty. They are empty because Pleasantville is it own world in its self. Pleasantville is also innocent in that the town’s people have never done anything wrong. The worst that the people have done is holding hands they have never herd of sex ether. Also the people are innocent in that no one breaks the law or does any thing bad or hurtful. Pleasantville is unappealing in that every one is perfect. In the way that it make it appealing are the same things making it unappealing

I get what your saying and I agree with you that the things that make Pleasantville pleasant also make it unpleasant. Everyones perfect and while that may seem nice it really isn't because no one is really perfect and wheres the excitment in life without a few mistakes. Its just like having too much of a good thing, it may seem nice at first but it gets old and you realize its not all that great, and I think that really represents Pleasantville, its just way to much of a good thing.
